These terms govern your use of the MedCounter mobile app, web dashboard, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by MedCounter (“we”, “us”). By signing up or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
Who can use the Service
The Service is intended for licensed pharmacies operating in India. To create an account you must be at least 18 years old and authorised to manage the pharmacy you sign up. We may ask for proof such as a drug license number — providing false information is grounds for account suspension.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your phone number, email, and any device used to sign in secure.
- You're responsible for all activity in your account, including any staff users you add.
- If you suspect unauthorised access, contact support@medcounter.in immediately.
What the Service does — and what it doesn't
MedCounter helps you record sales, manage stock, and run reports. It is not a medical device, prescription verifier, or substitute for a pharmacist's professional judgment. You remain solely responsible for:
- Verifying prescriptions and drug interactions.
- Pricing, GST treatment, and tax filings.
- Compliance with all drug-licensing, record-keeping, and reporting obligations under Indian law.
- The accuracy of inventory, batch, and expiry information you enter.
Subscriptions, billing, and free access
MedCounter is offered on a paid subscription. Pricing and features for each plan are shown inside the app and on medcounter.in. We may offer free access to selected pharmacies during early access; we'll notify you before any free access ends.
- Subscription fees are charged monthly via Razorpay. Payment failures may suspend your access.
- You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We don't offer refunds for partial periods unless the law requires us to.
Your data
Your shop's bills, inventory, customer records, and other data you enter belong to you. We process them on your behalf to deliver the Service. Details of how we collect, store, and share data are in our Privacy policy.
- You can export your data as CSV at any time from the web dashboard.
- You can ask us to delete your data — email support@medcounter.in.
- Backups are retained for up to 7 days for disaster recovery; deletion is reflected there on the next rotation.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including selling restricted drugs without authorisation.
- Attempt to access another tenant's data, reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with its operation.
- Upload malware, scrape the catalog at scale, or use the Service to spam customers.
- Share your login credentials with unauthorised people.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
Availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may schedule maintenance windows and will notify you when reasonable.
Liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedCounter is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or data loss. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us for the Service in that period.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be notified by in-app banner, email, or WhatsApp. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the city where MedCounter is registered.
